Joseph graduated from Highland High School in 1975. He served a church mission in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 1976 to 1978. He attended Fullerton and UVSC colleges. During those years he owned and operated a home restoration business and sold real estate.

Joseph had an immense love for the great outdoors and was an expert fly fisherman. He shared this love by taking many people who wanted to go. Not only did he take them outside but lifted their spirits through his happy attitude and listening ears.

Joseph was a very loving and Christ-like person. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served everyone with great love and kindness. Joseph was a wonderful husband and father. His joy was found with his family. He took every opportunity to spend time with his wife and children whether it be a ball game, a camping trip or day fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Julie and their four children, Jacob (10), Stephanie (7), Anne (5), and Rodney (2). His mother, Anne Winter Morgan of Ogden, brother Ed Morgan, sister Cindy Morgan.
